Public Hearing


There will be a meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals in the first floor Skaket Meeting Room at Orleans Town Hall, on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, starting at 7:00 p.m.  The following cases will be heard:


Case #1978
Orleans Athletic Association, Inc. has applied for a Variance as set forth in MGL Chapter 40A, Section 10, under Orleans Zoning Bylaw Section 164-21A to renovate and add on to the existing press box and souvenir shop in violation of front and side yard set backs.  The property is located at 80 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans Map #41, Parcel #1.

Case #1981
Gregory E. Lawler and Ann Logan have applied for a Special Permit as set forth in MGL Chapter 40A, Sections 6 and 9, under Orleans Zoning Bylaw Section 164-21C to replace a roof on a pre-existing, nonconforming building in violation of set back requirements, and in the alternative seeks a Variance.  The property is located at 7 Hammatt Road, Orleans Map #82, Parcel #11.

Case #1950  
Habitat for Humanity, as set forth in MGL Chapter 40B, seeks a determination of the Board that a change to the previously granted Decision is insubstantial.  Specifically, Habitat has been unable to find an appropriate developer for the historic preservation project and desires to raze the older home and construct a sixth affordable home.  The property is located at 31 Namskaket Road, Orleans Map #25, Parcel #100.

In other business, the Board will vote to approve minutes of the February 19, 2014 meeting.
